Federal government announces Dementia Strategy

The Federal government announced today its strategy to deal with dementia.  The strategy (see the link here shows that government will implement some of the recommendations of our Academy’s assessment on dementia published in January of 2019.

This, once again, shows the importance of CAHS’ assessment and the role assessments play and should play in informing public policy.

“The CAHS’ team that worked on the dementia assessment needs, once again, to be commended for the hard work it did to provide the federal government an assessment on dementia,” said Serge Buy, the CEO of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences.
