Seventy-one new Fellows elected into the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences

Fellows’ accomplishments recognized by peers for contributions to the promotion of health science

Ottawa, ON – August 31st 2022 – The Canadian Academy of Health Sciences (CAHS) is pleased to present the list of individuals that were elected as Fellows for 2022. CAHS is proud to recognize excellence in health sciences and these new Fellows reflect a rich and varied expertise.

We are pleased to note that we continue to receive an increasing number of nominations.  This year, we received 129 nominations across all health sciences disciplines.

“I would like to personally congratulate all the applicants that were elected as a Fellow in the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences for 2022. This recognition is a reflection of their dedication and excellence in their field,” said Dr. Proton Rahman, Chair of the Fellowship Committee. “We look forward to having their expertise further enrich the work of our Academy.”

Election to Fellowship in the Academy is considered one of the highest honours for individuals in the Canadian health sciences community and carries with it a covenant to serve the Academy and the future well-being of the health sciences irrespective of the Fellow’s specific discipline.
