The Fellowship Committee receives and adjudicates nominations for Fellowship in the Academy each year. It assigns ratings to those nominated to enable the Board to make an informed decision on those to be successfully elected.
The Fellowship Committee is chaired by the President-Elect and comprises a minimum of six (6) persons appointed from amongst the Fellowship by Board resolution for renewable term appointments of three years. The committee includes representation from Dentistry; Medicine; Nursing; Public & Population Health; Pharmacy; Rehabilitation Sciences; Social Sciences & Humanities; and Veterinary Medicine.
Only those members of the committee who commit to participate in the annual review meeting are permitted to participate in that year’s process. All decisions at the annual review meeting require a majority of the votes cast. The deliberations of the Fellowship Committee are confidential and not available to the general Fellowship of the Corporation.
